"Acquire the courage to believe in yourself. Many of the things that you have been taught were at one time the radical ideas of individuals who had the courage to believe what their own hearts and minds told them was true, rather than accept the common beliefs of their day."

Ching Ning Chu - Chinese American Business Woman

"To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream. Not only plan, but also believe."

"Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes."

"With every wish that you make comes the power to make it come true. But it is up to you to provide the work that will make it a reality. Are you using your power to make your wishes come true today?"

"Goals. There's no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There's no telling what you can do when you believe in them. And there's no telling what will happen when you act upon them."

What will this new year bring for you? Have you set goals, a plan of action for the year? Some would say that if you 'fail to plan, you then plan to fail'. I like to think that life happens, whether we plan it or not. There are so many things, commitments, and obligations that fill up our day. Yet stop and ask if you are actually working on things that you love to do, or accomplishing tasks that have meaning for you. I feel that some level of goal setting is imperative. This is part of establishing a vision and mission for a company, a business. Why not for yourself? Are you and the quality of your life not more important than any business venture you would undertake?
So what are your goals for this year? Don't be overwhelmed by the feeling of not knowing your ultimate purpose, your 'big' vision. Get down to the business of planning your year, a vital and important component of your life. The more you set goals that matter to you, that call you to your true self, the more that you will attract your purpose to you. You will simply begin to see it a little more clearly.

Some questions I would love you to answer:
What are 5 key goals for your year?
If this is your last year in your physical form, what is it that you have yet to be/do/have?
Who are 5 people that you would love to get closer to, begin to know more clearly and deeply? What are 5 new skills you would love to learn?
What are 5 problems/challenges to tackle and resolve?
What are 5 fabulous adventures you can undertake, or become prepared to experience?
What 5 things will you let go of this year?

These are some simple questions to answer to set your course for the year. Establish your goals in all areas of your life. Plan, explore, dig deeper. And have the faith in this process of life to know that the more you experience each moment, the clearer your purpose and role in this life will unfold.

"Faith means striking out with no clear end in sight and no clear view of the next step. It means following, trusting, holding out a hand to an invisible guide."

Phillip Yancey
